Felted Bead Bracelet

fiber_video.jpg

This project involves making felted beads and then using these beads to make a bracelet. If you have always wanted to try and felt something and haven't, here is your chance to get started on something that can't get any easier. This is also a  fun project to do with kids. To follow along you will need:

  • Fiber
  • Water
  • Palmolive dish soap
  • Beads
  • Stretch magic
  • Crimp bead
  • Charms
  • Sewing thread and needle
  • Pliers
  • Wire (to hang charms)

**Looking for the beaded bracelet kits? They are SOLD OUT. Sorry. I did a few demonstrations this weekend and they all sold. Normally I would promise to make more but because of my SECRET I just don't have the time. I will try to put up some fiber on my Etsy shop by tomorrow just in case you want to give the beads a shot but don't have any fiber.**

Great show!!

I just attended the Los Angeles County Fair a couple of weeks ago and they were doing a demo in the Home Arts building on felting. They had a whole bin of misc. fibers and invited anyone who wanted to try, could make a felted bead. I had so much fun but had no clue what I would ever use this bead for. Now I know!! LOL I love bracelets so I will definitely be trying this one. I hope you get some fibers up on your etsy shop soon because I have no idea where to find any. I loved the new song! That is such a great touch. Did you write it?? So cool!!

Close up shots

Thanks for your recent long awaited podcasts! I love the braclet! Would it be possible to have more close up shots of your hands and the craft materials while you are talking? I watch you on my IPOD and struggle to see your work as you are describing it. Just a thought! Please keep your podcasts coming. I'm a huge fan! Can't wait to find out about the "secret". Tisha
